The World Cup is the largest sporting event on the planet. For a month, billions of people follow a single storyline in real time. Any story that enters that orbit becomes impossible to ignore.
Both concepts are built on the same logic: the idea grows out of a brand asset instead of being stapled to the occasion with a sponsor logo. For adidas that asset is a trophy that officially carries the brand name. For Powerade it is the status of official drink of the tournament, plus the one subject everyone is already discussing: the heat.
Both run in a single format: FOOH. Hyperreal CGI shot in the logic of accidental phone footage, made for a vertical feed rather than for the street. There is almost always a bystander with a phone in frame: the viewer sees the event exactly as it will appear in the feed, and the first instinct is to check whether it is real.
